Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. We do recommend charging the NIMH batteries right out of the pack before first use. We don’t normally recommend using a tester on batteries if it is not a multi meter. Most meters are designed for Alkaline 1.5v and the NIMH rechargeable batteries are at 1.2v, some times the meters can give off an inaccurate reading.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. If you are noticing a flashing light on your charger there could be many things. Please see if the following apply.

Charging different MAH numbers in charger
Charging different brands at the same time
Charging NICD batteries vs. NIMH
Old batteries (over two years old)
Dirty contacts (easy clean, take pencil eraser to contacts in charger, top and bottom)

If you still have issues with the flashing light please contact our consumer affairs for further assistance.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. You do not have to fully use the battery before you charge it. Our NIMH batteries can be charged many times over; it will not shorten the amount of charge. The newer batteries we have on the market will hold the charger for up to one year after a full charge if not being used.

Question

Do you have charges that will do this?

It seems like more and more flashlights today use 3 batteries rather than the traditional 2. Do you have any chargers that will charge AA & AAA batteries either 1 or 3 at a time?

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. All of our chargers are different in voltage; it does depend on what charger you have. If your charger is NOT 110-240v, a converter will NOT work; Energizer does offer chargers that have duel voltage. I have provided a few for you below. Or check out our website technical page

Thank your for your great question. Energizer makes many different chargers that have different charge times so I cannot speak specifically about your charger. However, we always recommend to remove the charger from the wall and the batteries from the charger when the batteries have finished charging. Hope this helps! If you have any further questions please let us know!

Thank You!

Question

Can I charge 2300 MaH rechargeable batteries on a NiMH charger?

I recently bought Energizer rechargeable batteries on Amazon. The batteries themselves say "2300 MaH" but the package says they are 1,2 Vcc NiMH batteries. Are they NiMH rechargeable batteries? Can I charge these on an Energizer NiMH battery charger?

Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your great question. Rechargeable batteries have to meet a standard of 1.2V. That is different from the capacity of the battery which may vary and is measured in mAh. NiMH(Nickel Metal Hydride) just describes the chemical compound in which the batteries are made of. So yes, these batteries are a 1.2V, 2300mAh NiMH AA battery and they will be able to be recharged in an Energizer Charger. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your great question. Rapidly blinking lights mean that there is a bad battery in the charger. If the batteries are also 4 years old or so then this is very possible. Though they have only be recharged 5 times, these batteries also have a shelf life. These batteries are just past that expiration date and won't accept a charge resulting in rapidly blinking lights. I would recommend trying new batteries and I'm sure that this charger would work just fine! Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for this great question, I would be happy to assist you. The Qi charging system does not charge batteries directly. The Qi base transmits the energy to a receiving coil in the device. The receiving device needs to be designed with Qi compatible circuitry to charge the batteries.
